Video Tutorial – Integrating MSGT and Ultra Dynamic Sky

So this was a pretty highly requested tutorial, as are tutorials for other third party sky systems such as TruSky and Orbit. Tutorials on both of those systems are in the works and should be done soon as well. For those who don’t know – Ultra Dynamic Sky is a great sky system that you can use in Unreal Engine 4. You can check that system out via the Unreal Engine 4 Marketplace over at this page if you like. But for those that already have both the MSGT and the UDS system… here’s a video to cover the integration!

  • When I try to connect the Ultra Dynamic Sky Sphere to Set Time from MSGT it says “Actor reference not compatible with Ultra Dynamic Sky Reference”…I followed this tut perfectly fine in 4.15 but this pack doesn’t work well with 4.15. Any thoughts?

    • Hey Zack. This tutorial definitely should work fine as is under 4.15 as well. By the sounds of it something isn’t set to the right variable type, or you need to hit compile in one of the two blueprints. Can you drop me an email via and we can sort out what the issues is? 🙂 Cheers.
